Venture Outdoors creates experiences for people to connect with Christ, grow relationally, and develop in character through faith.
We often live in a state of stupor, pulled in every direction by the demands of life.
Venture seeks to rouse the heart out of its stupor by connecting to Jesus, the author of Life.
We believe that deepening your faith can benefit from a change in scenery.
The Bible is filled with examples of God using the outdoors to awaken our affections to God. Psalm 19 reads, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” (ESV). The problem lies in the hardship of getting out from under the city lights and into spaces to experience the glory of God. As Romans says, “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” (ESV). Come with us to experience the nature and glory of God.
Our Main Ministry Project
Our main ministry project under Venture is operating at Texas State University, where we create experiences for people to connect with Christ, grow relationally, and develop in character through faith. These activities are carried out through a local team, under the management of Venture Ministries.

It was during this trip that God completely changed my life. I was able to experience Jesus intimately when I had the privilege of hearing other people's life stories. As I heard about the most joyous and painful events of my peers' lives I was able to see how God had created these individuals. More importantly, as I shared my own joys and sorrows, I was able to see, for the first time in my life, that there had not been a single moment where God wasn't with me. I was able to see Jesus' love and grace in my life and it was because of that realization that I decided to surrender my life to Christ.
